I remember books of bound images picked up from the local film processing center, before in-store developing and digital cameras. I miss the way the photographs would stick to each other, their waxy coating working like a glue in the heat. I spent hours sifting through a drawer that my mother had haphazardly thrown these images into. As much as the memories meant , it was the milkiness, discoloration, fallible printing and age that enchanted me, as if glancing into a different world. This gallery is a twist on the imperfections of imaging, All photos have been taken using my phone or iPod. The pixelation adds depth to the images and allows for the enhanced realization that what you are looking at is not reality, but a shaping of it. While all of the photos have been edited the pixelation is in tack. Gone are the days of milky prints but perhaps one day I will look upon the noise generated by mediocre cameras with the same fondness that I feel for old photographs.
